It was a great fun, Pioneer day today! Thank you all SO much for helping that happen! Thank you for bringing stories to share. Thank you for helping your kids tell their stories. Thank you for being there!! It was so great to hear all our great Pioneer heritage.
In all the Pioneer excitement of today and this week, remind your Primary classes to ask their parents about their heritage. Everyone has a heritage--it doesn't have to be from the Utah Pioneers. We all have a great heritage and responsibility to them to KNOW who they are/were! We have the responsibility to find their stories and share them. Take the time today to talk to your parents/grandparents, just as I suggested to the Primary children. They'll love it :)
And, for all of us--as we are all pioneers, essentially. Our decisions today base where our future goes. So, today, think about where you want your future to go. Then, think about who we can help better their future. Specifically, the Bishop has asked us all to consider prayerfully those around us, in our neighborhoods especially, those who may be ready and willing to have the missionaries visit. Those whom the missionaries can help change their futures and become Pioneers in this day.
Help the missionaries help them. Let's start another Pioneer generation :)
Love,
Gilbert Ranch Primary Presidency
